In 1987, Wim Somers and Patrick Hoet (an anagram of Hoet), teamed up to design glasses for both of their optical shops in Antwerp and Bruges, Belgium. They were tired of selling boring, generic eyewear to their customers, so Hoet played with the letters of his surname, and came up with the name Theo. Together they quickly trailblazed a market for modern architecture in eyewear, while keeping ophthalmic prescriptions and durability in mind. Made out of the finest titanium, their frames can last you many years of color and fun!

Even after 35 years, Theo churns out tasteful collections again and again. This is because THEO works with designers across Europe, and encourages young talent by working with students at the prestigious Fashion Academy in Antwerp. As a result, their designs continue to grow and evolve with the world around them.
