Shamir was and is the software design company that created the designs of Varilux lenses. They have been experts in their field for decades. They have now put out a progressive lens of their own that is the Best I’ve ever worn! 
        This is their newest, cutting edge lens yet..  Until now, progressive lenses have been designed to provide the same visual solution no matter what your Visual Age™, which refers to the physiological age of the eye, and is generally correlated with the patient’s chronological age. Using some very cool new technologies, they were able to come up with a solution, they utilized 12 unique design concepts to fit the visual needs required for each Visual Age™. Shamir Autograph Intelligence employs Big Data and lens demographic analytics to create a design that matches the wearer's Visual Age™ and visual needs.

Like all progressive lens, they conveniently allow one to focus at all distances. But the difference between this Shamir lens and a normal progressive lens is that their custom made for you depending on your age, and lifestyle.
